Stephen El Shaarawy Vows to Stay with AC Milan

AC Milan striker Stephen El Shaarawy has expressed his desire to remain at the Rossoneri for the entirety of his career, despite interest from other clubs.

The young striker is under contract with Milan until 2018, but has been linked with moves away from the Serie A powerhouse. Already Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City have reported interest in acquiring the flashy striker.

Despite reports, Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has been adamant that El Shaarawy is not for sale, no matter how steep the offer may be. Galliani told Sky Sports, ”Bids for El Shaarawy? He is a 20-year-old player who is having a great season and it is normal that many clubs like him. But we absolutely don’t want to sell him.”

This statement seems to be exactly what El Shaarawy wanted to hear. He has made it quite clear he is not interested in leaving Milan and looks forward to what is to come from the club. He told La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sky Sports) ”I am feeling very good at Milan and I hope to stay here for the rest of my life. I heard what Galliani said about me and it pleases me that the club do not want to sell me.”

Milan seem to be a club that is ready to make the move back to world dominance. The club’s roster is stout with extreme talent. With the play of El Shaarawy continuing to grow and the addition to Mario Balotelli this season they are clearly a team that will be looking to bring home some European hardware. This offensive combination is so special because of their versatility; El Shaarawy plays with a sharp pace that makes him a menace for opposing back lines, while Balotelli is an absolute monster who is able to use his size to dominate the game.

This combination is something Galliani knows is important to his clubs future. ”With Stephan and Balotelli we have Italy’s strike pairing and we want to keep them together.”

Milan currently sit in third place in Serie A and will look forward to competing in the Champions League, with Stephen El Shaarawy  a big part factor in their pursuit European glory.
