Twitter Top 10: Week of November 22, 2012

1. Vincent Kompany - The Manchester City man took a second to reflect on Manchester City’s exit from the UEFA Champions League after a 1-1 draw with Real Madrid.

2. Nigel De Jong - AC Milan’s hardman tweeted about his joy of qualifying for the Champions League knockout stages after defeating Anderlecht in Belgium.

3. Rio Ferdinand - Manchester United’s tough defender tweeted after Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere scored in the Champions League on Wednesday night showing respect towards his fellow countryman.

4. Michael Owen - England legend Michael Owen updated his fans on his progress for “No-Shave” November, or simply, “Movember.” What a stache!

5. Mikel Arteta - Arsenal’s ‘defensive’ midfielder is now on Twitter and he seems to be a quality new addition to the social network. Kicking off your Twitter career with some friendly banter will always get your fans talking.

6. Juan Mata - Before Chelsea’s shock loss to Juventus in the Champions League, Juan Mata tweeted this picture from the Italians’ stadium in Turin.

7. Tim Cahill - Former Everton man and current New York Red Bull Tim Cahill headed back to England last week and was sure to take in the North London derby. He is seen here with his former teammate and good friend Mikel Arteta.
