Another Twist in the Radamel Falcao Transfer Tale

>

Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao has been one of the most wanted strikers in the world for quite some time now. He has been linked with all major clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United. Even as he continues to be linked with such big clubs, Falcao has also been linked with a move to Monaco. Even though the Spanish club placed a £50 million pricetag for his signature a few months ago, there have been indications that he could be available for around £40 million.

His link with French club Monaco came as a surprise for many given that the club has just been promoted back to the French first division. However, they have an endless pit of money available to spend due to the presence of a Russian billionaire owner. Rumours have also been rife that Monaco will only be a stopgap solution for Falcao, as Monaco already have an agreement in place with Real Madrid for the transfer of the player after just six months.

This would help avoid a direct transfer between the two archrivals.

“I don’t know anything, and the only thing that I have in my mind and keep concentration is on Atletico Madrid. The only real thing is that I am under contract until 2016, all the rest is only speculation,” said Falcao.

In a recent interview to Sky Sports, Radamel Falcao has stunned everyone by admitting that he is not interested in a transfer and that he only wants to stay at the Vicente Calderon. The 27-year-old has blasted the media for continually linking him with several clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea. He also denied links with Monaco, while also reiterating that he has a contract with Atletico until 2016.

Of course, he could be saying it only so that the focus remains entirely on the Copa del Rey final between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid. Falcao has the opportunity to outshine Cristiano Ronaldo when the two sides meet each other at the Santiago Bernabeu.

He don’t need to be saying all this, everybody know that Falcao likes money. Why should he goes to Monaco, the club that will not play champions league?
