The rumors circulating around Lewandowski have become increasingly more popular as the summer window approaches, and even more so as the youngster continues to thrive both domestically and against European competition.  As the 24-year-olds contract is set to expire at the end of the season, his next destination has yet to be announced; however, the rumored club continues to be Bayern Munich.

According to The Guardian, the forward’s agent Maik Barthel told the Sport Bild “We have reached an agreement with a club and intend [him] to move this summer.” Although Barthel was quick to keep the name of the club unknown to the public, he indicates that “There is a very interesting offer for Robert which fulfills entirely the demands set by Dortmund and also the demands of Robert.”

A four goal performance from any player, especially Lewandowski in the Champions League against such a tough opponent like Real Madrid will certainly bring attention to many clubs to desire his services.  Reports from the Mail Online indicate that Manchester United even sent a few scouts to the Champions League semi-final to specifically watch the 24-year-old.

Post-match, Lewandowski retained his professionalism and refrained from speaking about his future at the club or any other, and simply spoke about the match events.  Current BVB general manager Hans-Joachim Watzke told reporters after the match that he would really like to see the striker stay with Dortmund for at least another year.  Watzke explained “Our wish is explicit that he stays here - We will even do without receiving a transfer fee for him - that doesn’t interest us in the slightest.”

Bayern Munich could be the front-runners for the Polish international’s signature this summer.  And with current Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze also agreeing to join Bayern this summer - a possible following of Lewandowski could be in order, especially with Pep Guardiola set to take over as manager at the Allianz Arena.  If Lewandowski is to head to Dortmund’s bitter rivals - a possible date between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in the final could be a match for the ages.
