Liverpool Transfers: Reds Plot to Snatch Carlos Tevez from Manchester City

After having already signed Kolo Toure since his release from a Manchester City contract, it is rumored that Liverpool and manager Brendan Rodgers are looking to add another Citizen to the Merseyside summer rebuilding program.

Reports have claimed that amidst the current Luis Suarez exit saga, the club have started to look at signings that could encourage him to stay as well as be able to make up for his absence.

One such move that could be looked at either way is taking the leap to lure Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez to Anfield.

While many may believe that the Suarez and Tevez partnership could be doomed because of their tempers or the belief that it would not work. However, it is important to remember that Tevez was deadly alongside of Wayne Rooney at the height of Manchester United’s power at the end of the late 2000′s before his move to City, as well as having been quite good at the Etihad when partnered with Sergio Aguero.

Goal.com reports that the Liverpool could start with an offer of £7million but there is no confirmed offer on the table according to Manchester City at this time.

No offence, but why would he leave City for Liverpool? For £7-10m I’m sure the owners would rather see him go back to Argentina on a free next season.

Mr Tristan Mortensen you need to consider other career opportunities as sports journalism appears to be beyond your capabilities. Don’t you ever listen to what clubs tell you?

Tevez is 29 which is at least 4 years over the FSG limit for buying players which would put him out of the frame. Now, if he was available on a free transfer it would be a different matter, as was the case with Kolo Toure who cost nothing except his salary.

doubt liverpool will pay his 180,000 wages… but woildnt be a bad deal for both clubs.. city want fresh new players and liverpool really need experienced players so win win situation. yeah hea 29 but kolo toure is like 31 so age isnt a major factor in liverpools transfer

Deadly with Rooney, Quite good with Aguero????
I wonder which team Tristan supports?
Tevez and Aguero together are formidable to say the least. Go back to writing stories about Salford United.
