Crystal Palace Cheerleaders Celebrate Promotion to Premier League

Crystal Palace’s cheerleaders are back at it again and causing quite the stir. This time they’ve teamed up with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars cheerleaders.

In the video below, the cheerleaders revamped the clubs anthem Glad All Over in celebration of Palace’s recent promotion to the Premier League. The three minute video surprisingly took them a whole week to film but will surely remain in the hearts and minds of soccer fans worldwide.

Crystal Palace finished fifth in the Championship this season, meaning that they would have to navigate the playoffs in order to secure promotion to the Premier League. A tight 2-0 aggregate victory over southern rivals Brighton set up a tense encounter with Watford in the final. Kevin Phillips was the hero at Wembley as his penalty in the first half of extra-time guaranteed top flight soccer for Palace next season.

They join Cardiff and Hull as the three teams to test their luck at the apex of English football.

Glad All Over was adopted as the clubs anthem in the sixties and is played before the start of every home game. Hopefully the “Crystals” enthusiastic cheers can help keep Palace from sinking into a relegation scrap and leaving the top division in their first season.
