Manchester United’s Chicharito Hernandez Headlines Mexico’s Summer Squad

mexicoChicharito Hernandez, Mexico’s prolific scorer has been called into the Mexican national team to lead his side throughout the summer. The Mexican Football Federation today announced the group of players that will represent Mexico during their busy summer schedule that sees them feature in friendlies, World Cup Qualifiers as well as the Confederations Cup in Brazil. The predominantly Mexican-based team shows just how much quality the league has at the moment, though, several names – Diego Reyes and Hector Herrera – will be heading to Europe and FC Porto in particular at the start of next season.

Mexico haven’t started off brightly in World Cup Qualification this year but will certainly aim to get back on track as they face Jamaica, Panama, and Costa Rica before heading to Brazil to face some of the world’s strongest teams in the Confederations Cup. The Mexicans will be looking to Chicharito who¬† just recently scored his 50th goal for Manchester United, which also happened to be Sir Alex Ferguson’s last goal as manager of the English side.
