Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney is known mostly for his footballing talents on the pitch for the current English Premier League leading Reds Devils.

However, it appears that the skilled English international forward also has a few other hidden talents stored away from a rainy day.

Earlier this week the player unveiled a custom designed motorcycle that was built and manufactured by a Danish motorcycle company in partnership with designer and artist Lauge Jenson.

The two came together to create a motorcycle design that captured the spirit of Rooney’s famous bicycle kick goal against Manchester United in 2011 that continues to be one of the most replayed highlights of the past few years. Speaking in an interview with Auto Week, Rooney discussed the collaborative efforts of the two:

Lauge Jenson, who I collaborated with in the design of the bike, I feel truly captured what the moment was about.

I am further delighted that through Bonhams we have been able to raise a fantastic amount of money to benefit the KidsAid charity.

The bike went up for auction at the Bonhams auction of Sporting & Golf Memorabilia in Chester, UK, on Wednesday, Feb. 20 and sold for $66,000 (£43,250) according to Ultimate Motorcycling.
