Paris Saint Germain continues to chase the best talent in the world that money can buy and according to TalkSport on October 1, 2012 it appears that the club’s desire to bring Ashley Cole to Paris from Chelsea is once again rearing its head.
With the recent developments at Stamford Bridge calling for any player over the age of 30 to only be offered new contracts on a year-by-year basis, the 31-year-old English left back could be left looking for a new home.
PSG and Cole’s former manager Carlo Ancelotti are keen to bring the player to the next major club that is splashing more cash than any other on the continent. After signing Thiago Silva this summer to anchor their defense, the full back positions are the next thought to be overhauled.
The addition of Cole at even his age would solidify the left side for at least the next three to four seasons, and without a doubt add much more to their left flank in the attack as well. If he is not offered a new long term contract at Chelsea, you can best believe that Cole will move on.
