Liverpool Star Ready to Listen to Real Madrid Offer

Just days after saying that he would be open to offers from clubs like Real Madrid, Luis Suarez has said that he may leave Liverpool after all in the summer. According to the Daily Mail, the Spanish giants are preparing a £30 million offer for the striker, who has been a shining light in an otherwise poor season for Liverpool.

The striker has scored 30 goals in all competitions, while he could have scored more had it not been for the suspensions. Suarez missed the last two matches of the season after being handed a hefty 10-match ban by the FA for biting into Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.

This is the second suspension served by the 26-year-old since arriving in at £24 million deal from Ajax in 2011. His previous suspension of eight matches was given after he was found guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra. The striker’s camp has been making noises – ever since the second suspension was handed – that the striker may leave England after growing frustrated with the media and the FA.

The striker has said that he does not want his daughter, who is still very young, to see her dad being portrayed in a bad manner.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez recently said that he wants Luis Suarez and Gareth Bale at the club next season. After seeing their rivals Barcelona win the title once again, pressure was on Perez in order to build a strong team that can challenge the Catalan club for the title this season. It has also been more than a decade since Real Madrid lifted the Champions League trophy, which has been their pride.

Suarez still has several years left on his contract, which puts Liverpool in a strong position. The club has confirmed that the player is not for sale.
