Kevin Strootman and the Biggest Manchester United Transfer Rumors of October

Manchester United has looked really good for the majority of the current campaign. However, one thing that they have not looked is great. With a history are rich in victory and silverware as that of Sir Alex Ferguson in his past 25 years at the club, it is frustrating to any United fan to be dealing with their current state of being just not quite there.

The arrivals of Robin Van Persie and Shinji Kagawa have been solid additions but the club continues to struggle in midfield and with mounting injury issues in their defense. The club has been linked with players that fill all the different places of concern throughout the past month.

PSV Eindhoven superstar Kevin Strootman has been the most talked about addition and despite some rumors saying he may come to Old Trafford in January he is most likely not leaving Holland until summer if at best.

Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has been linked in the same manner as Strootman and his situation around leaving is most likely along the same lines as his geographical neighbor a country away.

James Rodriguez has once again cropped up as a potential target but the FC Porto player has a release clause said to be in the range of around £38 million. That kind of deal would never fit the fancy of the United board.

The final most talked about target is Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama who has also been linked with Chelsea and Liverpool respectively. An up and coming talent, he could be another solid addition to the new look midfield that Ferguson is putting together.

Javier Hernandez remains the most talked about player looking for an early exit from his contract in January with Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Fiorentina all said to be admirers of the Mexican international that has been on a goal scoring frenzy the last few weeks despite not having a regular starting place in Manchester.

Anderson continues to look not good enough for the side, but for some reason Ferguson seems to keep him around despite multiple rumors of shipping him off. Nani additionally is said to be taking his leave in January and he could be the potential make weight in a deal for Rodriguez if that is the route that Ferguson wishes to take.
