Frank Lampard set aside all thoughts about his future on Sunday as he scored twice to secure Chelsea another three points in their quest for the top of the Premier League table. Despite escaping Goodison with a victory, Everton scored just one minute into the match when Steven Pienaar converted a goal-mouth scuffle that Chelsea failed to deal with. Lampard brought Chelsea back on level terms several minutes before halftime then scored his second and sealed the Chelsea’s three points in the 71st minute. Everton continued to press throughout the match but were unable score again before the referee signaled the end of the match.
