Despite the improved form that Fernando Torres has exhibited this season for Chelsea it appears that the club are still not content with his lack of production over the entirety of his existence in the Blues’ kit.

The former Liverpool and Atletico Madrid standout failed to deliver for the better part of his first 18 months in London, and it has taken the departure of legendary forward Didier Drogba to finally see Torres come to life.

With that all in mind, according to TalkSport, the club appears to be looking to make an offer for Schalke 04 and Holland international striker Klass-Jan Huntelaar in January.

The former Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan striker has been on a major goal scoring run since moving to the German Bundesliga, and it is thought that he could help to aid the clubs goal issues.

There is yet to be an estimated transfer fee but it could exceed £15 million due to the player’s latest exploits and form over the past several seasons.
